A Note From Me from January 2026

A Note From Me from January 2026

January 05, 20262 min read

It’s a New Year—which brings new anxiety, new optimism, and new resolutions.

Personally, once the trees come down, I double down on preparing for a January 9th birthday celebration. There’s also a meaningful pause that happens this time of year, where I ask myself three questions:

What will I stop doing?
What will I start doing?
What will I continue doing?

I’m turning 44 this year—which means I’m old enough to know better and young enough to pursue my priorities with strategic intensity.

This year, I am stopping the habit of apologizing for asking hard questions. I’ve learned that making people uncomfortable—at the right time and for the right reasons—is a superpower. It often leads to better outcomes, stronger accountability, and real progress.

I am continuing to play golf. It’s personal time spent learning something challenging and humbling. It’s a lifetime sport. It’s a way to connect with my father, my in-laws, my husband, and my children—one that supports my mental health, physical health, and sense of community for decades to come.

And I am starting something new: being more present on social media—offering real-life, real-time Real Estate advice and Home Maintenance insight.

It might sound simple, but the reality is this: social media and AI are evolving rapidly, and there’s value in having an authentic, experienced voice in the mix. Especially when real life happens—like discovering a plumbing leak in your primary bathroom and wondering:

  • Is this covered by my home warranty?

  • Is this an insurance claim?

  • Or is it simply the wear and tear of a 30-year-old shower pan that finally said, “I’m done”?

More on that to follow.

Homes are lived in. Problems happen. Maintaining a home—and preparing to sell or lease one—comes with real challenges. These are challenges I am uniquely prepared to help you navigate so you can make informed decisions and maximize your best possible outcome.

If you—or someone you know—are looking to start, stop, or continue something in real estate or contracting over the next 12–18 months, I’m here to be of service and would genuinely appreciate an introduction.

Here’s to asking better questions, playing the long game, and stepping into the year ahead with intention.

Cheers to 2026!
